First stop was Monterey, driving south from the San Jose airport. We got to The Monterey Hotel before we could check in, so took in the sights and fishy smells of Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The aquarium has a fairly extensive jellyfish exhibit, including the largest Black Sea Nettle on display.

After a quick tour of Danny and the Boy's stomping grounds, we dined at Cibo in Monterey, sharing the special - Abolone Scallopine with walnut sauce and a nicely paired wine.
